Our community came together on Saturday, October 18th, for a spooktacular afternoon of fun, friendship, and fall celebration at our annual Trunk or Treat event in Valhalla!
Families arrived in creative costumes and enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, and—of course—plenty of treats. The parking lot was transformed into a festive wonderland of decorated trunks. From silly to spooky, all the cars were designed with care and imagination by our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Events like Trunk or Treat remind us what makes the Y so special. It’s a place where children and families come together to connect, laugh, and make memories that last. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces—princesses, superheroes, pumpkins, and even a few friendly beasts, celebrating in a safe and welcoming space.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success. Thank you to our amazing volunteers who decorated trunks, handed out candy, and helped make our event great. Thank you to the families who joined us and brought their energy and excitement to every activity. And thank you to our caring staff who always go the extra mile to create events that reflect the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Your participation helps strengthen the bonds of our YMCA community. It supports our shared mission to help children learn, grow, and thrive together.
We can’t wait to see everyone again next year for more costumes, creativity, and community fun!
