Thank You to Hudson Valley Credit Union for Supporting SCALED Learning™ at the Y
The YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester is proud to recognize Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) for its generous $5,000 grant in support of our innovative SCALED Learning™ Curriculum. This vital funding helps us bring high-quality enrichment to more children across our before and after-school programs.
SCALED Learning™—which stands for STEM, Career-Connected Learning, Arts, Literacy, Education, and Diversity & Global Learning—is a holistic curriculum designed by the YMCA to help children succeed both in and out of the classroom. Through hands-on activities and real-world experiences, students develop academic skills, cultivate social-emotional awareness, and discover a lasting love of learning.
Thanks to HVCU’s support, we’re expanding access to these dynamic, engaging programs, ensuring more students can benefit from activities that spark curiosity, boost confidence, and promote critical thinking. Whether it’s building towers in a STEM challenge, exploring different cultures through global learning, diving into creative arts projects, or connecting schoolwork to real-world careers, SCALED Learning™ helps children grow into thoughtful, well-rounded individuals.
This grant also reinforces a shared commitment between HVCU and the YMCA to invest in the success of local children and families. It’s more than just funding—it’s an investment in the future of our community.
