We’re proud to share a special moment from our Y. Our Teen Leaders recently joined a nationwide “Pass the Phone” collaboration with the YMCA of Southern Nevada, Capital District YMCA, YMCA of San Benito County, Central Coast YMCA, Missoula Family YMCA, and YMCA of Central Kentucky (video below). This opportunity gave our teens a powerful platform to connect and collaborate with peers across the country.
Experiences like this help teens grow. They connect with peers beyond our community. They share their voices with confidence. They see that they belong to a movement larger than themselves. Watching young leaders create and collaborate together expands their perspective and strengthens their leadership skills.
At the YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester, we help teens become thoughtful leaders. We encourage them to build strong relationships and live out the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. This collaboration reflects that mission in action.
