A message from our CEO, Cynthia Delfino-Birdsall

Good afternoon parents,

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2023 camp season.

Due to the recent severe storms, the camp has sustained extensive damage. After a thorough assessment, we have concluded that the repairs needed to ensure the site is safe and secure for campers will prohibit us from continuing as planned with the 2023 season.

In keeping with our core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility, we

wanted to let you know as soon as possible so that you can make alternate arrangements for your children for the remainder of the summer. We know this is a huge inconvenience, and we do not make this decision lightly. Staff and contractors at Camp Combe will work hard to restore the camp for next summer. We’ll miss seeing your children’s bright faces this season, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this cancellation has caused.

In the meantime, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support and understanding during this challenging time. We have contacted other local camps that may have spots open, and they indicated that parents should contact them directly for more information. Please see the information below from Shannon Sullivan, Director of Camp & Teen Services.

Once again, we deeply apologize for the disappointment this news may bring to your family. As a token of our appreciation, we will offer a $100 credit to your account when you register for the 2024 season. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming your children back to Camp Combe.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Delfino Birdsall
