COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT)
Must be 14 or older and entering, at least, the 9th grade
The first step in our rigorous staff development program, the CIT program is a challenging and rewarding introduction to the world of camp counseling. Combining formal leadership training, service-learning opportunities, and daily practical experience working with small groups of children, CITs acquire skills to make them more responsible, creative, and mature. The position requires a mandatory training session and a two-week minimum commitment.
Junior Counselor (JC)
Our summer Junior Counselor program is a great way for your teen to be involved in the summer. As a part of our Junior Counselor program, teens will build leadership skills, gain confidence in group facilitation, and have the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone. Our Junior Counselor program provides your teen with life skills including; sending a professional email, how to interview, working with supervisors, and working as a part of a professional team. We provide these long-term life skills in an environment where teens feel safe and comfortable.
JCs must be at least 15 years old and previously a camper. We ask for at least 6 weeks of commitment throughout the summer. Volunteer hours can be provided after the summer is complete. JC applicants should fill out an online application. Email Shannon Sullivan, Director of Camp & Teen Services for an application.
