Is summer camp for 2021 still happening?
YES! CAMP COMBE registration will open in February!
We DO know that there is no better place for kids to connect, make new friends, try new things, and discover their potential. Our team is hard at work, meeting regularly to make sure that we continue to follow all CDC, local, state and government guidance. As guidance changes, we will adapt our plans as needed. We will continue to keep lines of communication open and transparent. One thing we know for sure: Kids need Camp Combe now more than ever! There’s No Place Like Combe!!

Is Camp Combe running specialty programs this summer?

What is the Y doing to prioritize health and safety for my child at camp?
At the Y, our priority is always the health and safety of your child. In addition to the many steps we take every day to protect the health of our campers, volunteers and staff, we will work closely with our YMCA team to incorporate recommendations from local, state and national agencies and follow guidance from the American Camp Association for a healthy camp community for all. Please review our Parent Handbook supplement from summer 2020.
Does my camper need to wear a mask?
As of 3/1/21 DOH guidance is still in place from last summer. We are awaiting updated guidance for this year regarding camper mask requirements. Our procedure from last year is as follows: On their first day of camp, campers will be given a reusable face covering by the YMCA. Please be sure your camper brings a covering to camp every day. There may be certain activities during the course of the day that your camper will be encouraged to wear a mask. These activities include but are not limited to Gaga, Slides, and other close contact activities.
Thank you so much! By the way L is loving camp (as he does every year)! My husband and I went back and forth on whether to send him this summer with everything going on. After reading everything you were putting in place and talking with L we made the decision to send him. It was the right one for sure. He is so happy to see friends, make new friends, and participate in all the fun things you guys have planned. We want to say thank you for all the hard work and dedication it takes to pull of a successful camp experience. Also, thank you for bringing some normalcy to these crazy times we live in.

Are off site trips running this summer?
Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety our campers and staff we have make the difficult decision to cancel all off camp trips and activities. As it is out of our control how other facilities will handle the CDC guidance regarding COVID, we felt it best to cancel to minimize the risk.
