Is summer camp for 2020 still happening?

YES! CAMP COMBE is open!

We DO know that there is no better place for kids to connect, make new friends, try new things, and discover their potential. Our team is hard at work, meeting regularly to plan for all necessary precautions that may come to make sure that we are able to follow all CDC, local, state and government guidance. As guidance changes, we will adapt our plans as needed. We will continue to keep lines of communication open and transparent. One thing we know for sure: Kids need Camp Combe now more than ever and we can’t wait to see you!

What is the Y doing to prioritize health and safety for my child at camp?

At the Y, our priority is always the health and safety of your child.  In addition to the many steps we take every day to protect the health of our campers, volunteers and staff, we will work closely with our YMCA team to incorporate recommendations from local, state and national agencies and follow guidance from the American Camp Association for a healthy camp community for all. Please review up Parent Handbook supplement for our updates this summer.

Hi Angelina,

Thank you so much! By the way L is loving camp (as he does every year)! My husband and I went back and forth on whether to send him this summer with everything going on. After reading everything you were putting in place and talking with L we made the decision to send him. It was the right one for sure. He is so happy to see friends, make new friends, and participate in all the fun things you guys have planned. We want to say thank you for all the hard work and dedication it takes to pull of a successful camp experience. Also, thank you for bringing some normalcy to these crazy times we live in.

Thanks, E

How can I receive the most up-to-date information about summer camp?

Continue to check your email for communication around summer camp and follow us on Facebook & Instagram as we will post updates as they develop.

Please also always feel comfortable to reach out and contact us at Campoffice@ymca-cnw.org with any specific questions or concerns.

Will transportation be provided this summer?

Yes, at this time we are planing on running bus routes as indicated on our transportation list. As we receive additional guidance, we will update parents if this changes. Please be sure to review page 7 of our Parent Handbook supplement for update busing polices this summer.

Are off site trips running this summer?

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety our campers and staff we have make the difficult decision to cancel all off camp trips and activities. As it is out of our control how other facilities will handle the CDC guidance regarding COVID, we felt it best to cancel to minimize the risk.

When are payments for camp due?

Payments for camp are not due until your campers first week of camp.
