The Y Strengthens Our Community!
Remember the fun you had at summer camp? Summer is the time for kids to get up, get out and grow. But for some kids, exposure to activities that stimulate the body and mind ends with the school year. In fact, research shows that kids are prone to gain weight and fall behind in learning during the summer.
At the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester, we believe that all children, including those without sufficient financial resources, should be able to benefit from the joy and enrichment of our Y summer camps and our Y programs and services. Last year we provided $191,000 in scholarships. We have camps in Putnam Valley-Camp Combe YMCA, White Plains YMCA and Community YMCA in North Salem. More info here http://ymca-cnw.org/
The only way we can offer these scholarships is with your help. It costs $385.00 to send one child to camp for one week. Please donate to this fun-raiser! You can help us raise even more this year so more children and families can benefit from our YMCA’s.
